Have you heard about our #miprimeramochila campaign?
We launched this campaign to get young girls thinking ethically from an early age about where the things they own come from. #mirprimeramochila or "my first bag" was launched not only want to teach young girls to value all of their possessions but also to start from a young age instilling in young girls the importance of supporting other girls.
This is the perfect gift for any daughter, granddaughter, goddaughter or niece - every bag comes with a matching bracelet. Both bracelet and bag are lasting gifts that will be treasured and passed down through generations.

This particular design is one of a range that has been exclusively designed for TMAC by Sonia Gonzalez from the Mantaloo Wayuu Community. Every piece in the Wayuu Collection is made by a highly skilled female artisan and the sale of which goes directly to support her and her family.
Please note that our mochilas and mochilitas come in a range of different sizes - you can find out about the difference in more detail in this blog post. We have measured each individual bag, check out the exact dimensions below.
Our double thread mochilitas takes approximately one full week to make. The entire process is carried out by hand by Indigenous Wayuu women, who have learnt their skills from generations of women before them.
